What's the difference between VW Golf and Polo?

I am keenly looking at both the VW Golf and Polo models %26amp; would like to know what are the main differences are between the current models of each? Thanks|||The main differences are that the Golf is bigger, and therefore heavier. It's also more expensive, and a little more costly to insure.

They are powered by similar engines in similar states of tune, although the Polo has a few engines that are not fitted to the Golf, and vice-versa.

Driving-wise, they are different, although neither is bad, just different!

Obviously the Golf has a higher towing capability than the Polo, but the variations across other car ranges is comparable.|||polo is a great model :D

If you are looking at the 6n model (before 2000) looks for rust and if you are looking at the 6n2 model (2000-2002) the gear box is the weak link... later models dont have many problems :)

The polo will get better fule economy, then you have the polo GTI, a funny litle car!

The golf is wider and longer than the polo, Some of the golf's have the same engine as the polo like 1.4 and 1.6L|||Golf is the next size up in the range!

so more leg room more head room! the engine/wheels will probably be bigger. a golf will usually cost more to run / buy.

you get the point!|||the Golf is slightly larger and has more horsepower. that's about it really, most of the other options are the same.
