I need to buy new rings for my VW bug so I can put it back together. What size rings do they use?
It's just a stock 1600CC engine for a 1968 bug.|||85.5
but make sure its not a 1641, some people change from a 1600 to a 1641 because the p/b fit in the case without machining. if the piston says 86.xxx its a 1641|||85.5 mm.
I would get the cylinder/piston package. It will work better than trying to get those old cylinders back round again. And if they have much ridge, your done before you start.
