Which other make seats will fit in my 1971 1302 vw beetle?

I would like to put some nice black leather sports sets in. It didn't come with the original seats, has vw cloth sports seats of some sort.


I know Porsche are a popular replacement but are expensive. Suggestions for other makes which will fit please.|||You can have the seats in it recovered in leather.


I run PRP seats in my VW.


You can go to a junk yard and find some good leather seats out of any luxury car and install them in your bug. It is not hard to do if you can weld or know someone with a welder and minimal skills.|||any seats will fit,,





it just depends how much your filling to pay to get them fitted due to you will need to modify the runners|||Check out the fit of a pair of seats from a Mazda Miata. They're pretty popular and somewhat plentiful in the junkyards.|||You will find that that the covers on the seats actually come off very easily.


There are just a row of C shaped little clamps around the bottom.


Unbending them allows the cover to easily come off.


Then you can easily have a biker leather shop make custom ones, cheap.


Then can easily use the old ones as a pattern.


There are some naugahyde ones that are better than leather actually, and hold up better.


But you could also probably modify most seat covers to fit, as long as they are not from a smaller seat.
