1998 VW Cabrio alarm that won't disarm without disconnecting the battery?

I've had a 1998 VW Cabrio for a few years, when I got the car the drivers side door was unable to reset the alarm so I've always used to passenger door. Now the passenger door no longer disables the alarm and neither does the trunk. All of the locks turn and each individual lock unlocks but the alarm as a whole wont disarm and because the car is stuck in alarm mode it wont start. The only way to disarm it is to disconnect the battery. Any suggestions on disconnecting the alarm system?|||other than replacing all the latches, you can pull the alarm relay out and make a jumper relay to plug in instead of the relay!

the relay is in the #22 position and should have a number 53 stamped onto it. pull it out and then make a jumper wire with both male ends then plug it into #30 and 85 and the car will start without the alarm.|||visit the following website
