Can i use the vw new beetle repair manual 1998-2000 to fix my 2004 vw beetle?

I'm looking to replace my coolant and spark plugs, and I found the repair manual for 1998-2000 at a discount book store. Could I use it for the 2004 vw beetle? Or is the 2004 model that much different?|||Really if you want my opinion I don't recommend that you try and go by any service manual that are for vehicles 4-6 years older.Plus unless you buy a true factory service manual or manuals for that vehicle you will never get all the info or insight in managing to trouble shoot or repair your vehicle. These manuals can be quite complexed and unless you learn or know how to read them , their much like trying to figure out info via using several sections and different pgs to actually figure out exactly how it functions, part, wiring info or how it even works etc.

Put it this way I'd rather recommend that you use and learn via the original factory repair manuals bec you have direct access to much more detailed info in them then many of the other aftermarket service manuals.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way I saw a few repair manuals for your vehicle on ebay for fair prices. Also there probably are several common parts or circuits that each of the different years use but take it from me when you're trouble shooting certain circuits or problems you want all the info that you can get that the manufacture would offer to you or their dealership service departments. From what sections or parts of your vehicle that you're trying to work on it is possible that not much has changed within those years when it comes down to the basics such as the plugs or it's basic coolant system design etc.I do know that indeed much or some of the manual info is the same for your vehicle from even the 98 models and going up to 2005 and around 2002 some other changes took place.

You might want to try different main reference libraries for access to a more accurate service manual , plus you could read and compare even the older repair book info to your own vehicle.I'd try places like ebay etc bec they have at times a great variety of factory repair manuals or automotive repair manuals. You could pick up a set of factory books via ebay etc just be sure to check the seller book content etc info and to don't be shy to ask sellers detailed questions before you make any bids etc.|||You're quite welcome
