What is wrong with the instrument cluster in my 02 VW Golf?

I just purchased a 2002 vw golf gls and noticed that the information display screen on the gauge cluster does not work. Also, the backlight for the time display in the same cluster seems to be out, so that when the headlights are on and it is dark you cannot see the time. Is there a simple way to fix these issues?|||Hi there! I think the better way to solve that problem is contact the manufacturer for replacement of that 2002 vw golf gls in order to fix that issue.
