Where is the best place to look for classic VW bugs?

I'm looking for a pre '98 VW Bug and I'm not having that great of luck on craigslist. Does anyone know where another good place to look would be?|||Okay, you are looking for a VW Bug from the 1950's through 1970's. First off, understand that the VW Beetle was discontinued here in the United States due to the Federal Safety and Emissions Standards of the Mid to Late 70's. If the vehicle was imported before than, it is still legal. Now, finding one.....I would suggest www.cartrader.com, eBay, and of course, a general search engine. Keep in mind that there are many auto clubs out there that are based on certain types, manufactures, or models of automobiles. Parts are very easy to get for the Beetle, and that the Beetle was produced in Mexico and Brazil until the early 90's.|||hemmings motor news.|||www.thesamba.com|||go to www.thesamba.com

they have good classifieds, great people, and more vw experience than you can shake a stick at. when something goes wrong, someone there knows how to fix it. great site, good people, and incredible knowledge. you can't go wrong.|||www.thesamba.com - i bought a 68 bug from a guy on there. great trans action.

www.ebay.com - i sold the 68 on ebay, again not a bad way to find a good bug.

Also check out www.shoptalkforums.com - The best message board there is for aircooled vw info. Also a decent classified section.

Good luck. There are a lot of good bugs looking for good homes.
