How do they film the VW commercials which demonstrate the air bags deploying during an accident?

These are the commercials where a couple get T-boned in their VW, while talking about thier eveving. The commercials are pretty good (since most car commercials are horrible) a looks realistic!|||I think what they do is an actual simulated crash. First i bet they have the people actually in the car then take them out maybe 1 frame before the crash actually happens, making it look like it was real. Another way would be to also digitally put them in.|||i think they use computer animation to help it look real.|||I would imagine they have little cameras inside the vehicle %26amp; placed all around the scene. Check the web--do a search on VW, they may have a link in there.|||The folks at VW really crashed the cars with people inside. No computer animation or blue screen trickery.
