How do I remove the plastic engine cover on a 2003 VW Golf?

How do I remove the plastic engine cover on a 2003 VW Golf? Standard 2.0 L engine. No turbo. I've read there are a couple of screws and then just pull up to pop it off. I want to be sure I've loosened everything before I pull it upwards. Anyone got a checklist? Thanks in advance.|||Simply remove the four screws and remove the cover.|||Pull the dipstick out first, then lift the front of the cover until it "pops off" in two places. Pull it towards you to slide off rear mount.
