I'm purchasing a 1989 VW Cabriolet and the fenders have a Karmann logo on the side. I can't find any information on what I assume is just an optional trim package. It does seem to have different exhaust and most certainly different bumpers, and skirting/spoilers. What is the difference between the Cabriolet Karmann editions and the stocks?|||Karmann is the coach builder- they are the ones who fit the top and a couple of other bits. The '89's had a body kit, which was factory, also there is a model called the Etienne Aginer edition as well. Exhaust is not different though.|||All the convertibles will have the Karmann badge. Karmann built vehicles and components for a lot of companies until last year when they went bankrupt.
