Dose the convertilbe roof frame from a 1972 VW Bug fit on a 1968 convertible bug?

I am restoreing a 1968 VW convertible type 1 bug and can only find the roof frame from a 1972 convertilbe bug and don't know if the roof frame are interchangeable.|||my answer is check it out to the auto repair shop near you and tell him about your problem on your car
