How to turn on headlights in an 02 VW Jetta?

I just got an 02 VW Jetta and I can't figure out how to turn the headlights on. The switch only has two options: off or parking lights. Can anyone tell me how to get the headlights on?|||Read your owners manual.|||There is no way they turn on/off by themselves depending on the time of day.|||OMG! I loooooovoe VW's!! %26lt;3
